Preheat the oven to 180C. Soak the breadcrumbs in milk for 5 minutes until softened. In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, soaked breadcrumbs, diced onion, garlic, eggs, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt and pepper, mixing gently with your hands until just combined. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and place in a baking tin lined with greaseproof paper. Spread the remaining ketchup over the top of the loaf. Bake for 50-60 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 70C and the top is caramelised. Allow the meatloaf to rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving with mashed potatoes and vegetables.
