In a bowl, whisk together hoisin sauce, soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, five-spice powder and white pepper to create the marinade. Add the pork chunks and coat thoroughly, then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight. Preheat the oven to 180°C and arrange the pork on a roasting tray, pouring the remaining marinade over it. Roast for 1.5 to 2 hours, basting every 30 minutes, until the pork is tender and caramelised on the edges. Remove from the oven and let rest for 10 minutes, then garnish with spring onions and sesame seeds before serving.
