Method

Combine flour and salt in a bowl, then add water and 1 tablespoon of oil, mixing until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic, then cover and rest for 30 minutes. Divide dough into 4 equal pieces and shape into balls. Roll each ball into a thin oval or rectangular sheet approximately 3mm thick. Heat a heavy-bottomed frying pan or griddle over medium-high heat and brush lightly with the remaining oil. Place each flatbread in the hot pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until golden spots appear, then flip and cook the other side for another 2 minutes. Brush each finished flatbread with melted butter whilst still warm and serve immediately.
