Preheat oven to 180°C and lightly oil a 9x13 inch baking tin. Whisk together eggs and sugar until pale and thick, then add oil and orange juice, mixing well. Sift flour, baking powder, cinnamon, cloves and salt together, then fold gently into the wet ingredients until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden and a skewer inserted comes out clean. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup by gently heating honey and water together until warm, then stir in lemon juice. As soon as the cake emerges from the oven, pour the hot syrup evenly over it and allow to cool completely so the syrup is fully absorbed. Cut into diamond or square shapes and serve at room temperature.
