Preheat your oven to 200°C and grease a 20cm square baking tin with butter. Whisk together the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt and sugar in a large bowl. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs and warm milk together, then stir in the melted butter until combined. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined, being careful not to overmix. Pour the batter into your prepared tin and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown and a skewer inserted in the centre comes out clean. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
