Boiled Dumplings

Method

Mix the flour and salt together in a large bowl. Gradually add water whilst mixing until a stiff dough forms that comes together into a ball. Knead the dough on a floured surface for 2-3 minutes until smooth. Divide the dough into 8-10 equal portions and shape each into an oval or round dumpling about 7-8 cm long. Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil and carefully drop in the dumplings. Stir gently to prevent sticking and allow them to come to the surface. Once they float and the water returns to a boil, simmer for approximately 15-20 minutes until they are cooked through and tender. Remove with a slotted spoon and serve hot.
