Blanch the colocasia leaves in salted boiling water for 2-3 minutes until pliable, then drain and cool. Mix the grated coconut, ground peanuts, ginger-garlic paste, green chillies, cumin seeds, coriander leaves, salt, turmeric and tamarind paste in a bowl to form a thick paste filling. Lay each leaf flat and spoon approximately 2 tablespoons of the filling onto the lower half, then roll tightly, folding in the sides to create a secure parcel. Heat oil in a heavy-bottomed pan and arrange the rolls seam-side down in a single layer, frying gently for 4-5 minutes per side until golden and crispy. Serve hot as a starter with lime wedges and additional tamarind chutney if desired.
