Soak the dried fruit in hot strong tea for at least 2 hours or overnight until plump and the liquid is absorbed. Preheat the oven to 160C and grease a 900g loaf tin lined with baking parchment. In a large bowl, combine the soaked fruit with the sugar and beaten egg, mixing thoroughly. Sift together the flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and mixed spice, then fold gently into the fruit mixture until well combined. Pour the batter into the prepared tin and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean. While warm, brush the top with honey glaze. Cool in the tin for 15 minutes before turning out onto a wire rack.
