Method

Cream together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy, then beat in eggs one at a time. Fold in flour, baking powder and salt alternately with milk, adding the zest of the oranges. Transfer the batter into a greased rectangular tin and smooth the surface. Bake at 180°C for 25-30 minutes until golden and a skewer comes out clean. Once cooled slightly, heat the honey with water until runny, then drizzle generously over the warm cake. Sprinkle sesame seeds across the top whilst still sticky, then cut into small diamond-shaped pieces. Allow to cool completely so the honey sets and creates a crisp exterior.
