Method

Combine flour, salt and yeast in a large bowl, then add warm water and mix until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic, then incorporate the softened butter gradually. Fold in the grated cheese and fresh herbs until evenly distributed throughout the dough. Shape into a round loaf, place on a baking tray, brush with olive oil, and allow to rise for 90 minutes until doubled in size. Score the top with a knife, then bake in a preheated 220C oven for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and hollow-sounding when tapped. Cool on a wire rack before serving.
